La Americana Updates

March 15, 2007

We have just finished negotiating with several well-known Andean bands for the use of their compositions in the La Americana soundtrack. Los Kjarkas, a native band of Cochabamba, Bolivia, and one of the most highly acclaimed folkloric groups in South America will provide the principal score. The film will also feature music from Savia Andina, Yara, and other Bolivian musical groups.

Producer Nicholas Bruckman and Director of Photography John Mattiuzzi will be traveling to the U.S.-Mexican border for the final shoot of the film later in March. A 78-minute rought cut of the film has been completed, and we will be holding our first private screenings in New York City in May. Please let us know by e-mail if you would like to attend, provide feedback, and be a part of the filmmaking process.
