Thank you to the Tepeyac Association of New York
June 21, 2007
It was a wonderful experience presenting La Americana for the first time to an audience of mostly Mexican immigrants. The feedback was well received and extremely helpful to us. The experience in its entirety was a great success, but more importantly, the film has once again lifted our spirits as a reassuring victory that Carmen’s story (the protagonist of La Americana) is an important story that needs to be told.
